Fund Raising Committee
Committee Chairperson: Bill Knight

Purpose: To monitor the merchandise inventory, research and purchase items to sale as supply requires, account for all funds raised through sales, to coordinate all sales at various functions throughout the year, and to provide fund raising idea assistance to local Chapters.

Membership Committee

Chapter Membership: Is inclusive of all of those individuals employed in the field of Human Services who are members in good standing of the National Eligibility Workers Association Professional Association through Human Services.

Purpose: The Membership Committee members are to act as liaisons between the State Board and our general California State membership. In addition to this, the committee members work with our California NEW: PATHS members who are interested in forming a local chapter, provide assistance ranging from sending packets on how to form a chapter to conducting presentations on California NEW: PATHS and generally being available as resources. An additional goal of the Membership Committee is to develop a membership packet, which includes an updated PowerPoint presentation showing the advantages and benefits of membership as well as various handouts. These packets will be available to County Staff Development Personnel as well as any Human Services partners.

Finance Committee
Committee Chairperson: Donna Cobb
Committee Members: Bill Knight, Patsy Meraz, Alicia Correll

Purpose: To provide management and oversight of the financial operations of the chapter. The Committee’s goal is to maintain fiscal solvency for the California State chapter of California NEW: PATHS. We are committed to provide total accountability to the members by ensuring funds are accounted for in a responsible manner in accordance with our by-laws, policies and procedures.)

By-laws Committee
Committee Chairperson: Phil Luckner
Committee Members: Angie Gonzalez

Purpose: To maintain and monitor the California Chapter's Bylaws and the Board of Director's Policies and Procedures Guide. We accept proposals for changes to both the Bylaws and the Policies and Procedures; review these proposals for accuracy, wording, etc and make recommendations to the Board of Directors for a decision.

Professional Development Committee
Committee Chairperson: Sydney Crable
Committee Members: Laura Shultz, Angie Gonzalez, Cesar Vera

Purpose: To interact with educational institutions, keep members informed of educational opportunities and to arrange for professional development for the Board of Directors.

Legislative Committee
Committee Chairperson: Kathy Watkins
Committee Members: Laura Shultz, Angie Gonzalez, Cesar Vera

Purpose: To provide a vehicle for the State Chapter's input into County, State , and Federal legislative and regulatory processes which impact eligibility policy, procedure and operation. Give testimony on proposed legislation. Provide verbal and/or written communication on proposed or final regulations. Develop legislative contacts. Present the position of the State Chapter when authorized by the Board. Inform membership of legislative issues.

Newsletter Committee
Committee Chairperson: Phil Luckner
Committee Members: Phil Luckner (editor), Diane Krebs, Daniel Cerna Debbie Simpkins (proof reading)

Purpose: To gather articles of interest, disseminate conference information and publish "NEW: PATHS for You" quarterly.  The Newsletter Committee solicits and welcomes articles from the local chapters, State Board of Directors, and any member or collaborative who wishes to contribute material for publication.

Publicity Committee

Committee Members:  Jennifer Sipe, Kathy Watkins, Samuel James

Purpose: To ensure that members are kept informed of latest information about the State Chapter activities and the annual conference through newsletter articles, flyers, display boards and information posted on our website.
